To start the Volvo V40 comes equipped with a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine displacing 150 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. After several upgrades to the engine, the 1.6 liter now produces 50 more horsepower and a 44 more lb-ft of torque for a grand total of 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. The Volvo V40 Pirelli Edition now can sprint from 0-60 in 7.9 seconds, which is 0.9 seconds faster than the stock model and now can reach a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h).
